Game Changers

5 June to 19 September 2021

Calling all gamers!

Get your thumbs ready for Game Changers – a highly-interactive, travelling exhibition that explores how technological innovations have transformed the world of video games. Try your hand at playing 17 games that have significantly changed the gaming experience, including Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros., Tetris, Angry Birds, Space Invaders, Flower, and Adventure.

Game Changers presents 120 of the most influential games in history. The exhibition explores how the intersection of audio, storytelling, graphics, and gameplay creates the immersive environment of today’s video gaming systems. From memorable Pong to the photorealistic games of today, visitors get to “live” the video game evolution and explore the future of gaming.

*As this exhibition is very interactive, gloves will be provided to visitors so that they can touch and manipulate the different elements of the exhibition.*

Game Changers is a travelling exhibition developed and produced by the Canada Science and Technology Museum and managed by Science North in partnership with the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and Electronic Arts.
